Poxel (POXEL) annonce le lancement commercial ce mercredi 16 septembre au Japon, de son medicament, Twymeeg pour le traitement du diabète de type 2. Il s’agit du premier produit de la biotech lyonnaise à être commercialisé et le Japon le premier pays à l’approuver. Poxel a reçu un paiement d’étape de 13,2 M€ de la part de son partenaire Sumitomo Dainippon Pharma en juillet et pourra également percevoir « des redevances croissantes à deux chiffres sur les ventes nettes et des paiements liés à des objectifs de ventes pour un montant qui pourra atteindre environ 200 M€ ». Virbac (VIRP) renforce sa position dans sa filiale Centrovet, spécialiste chilien de l’aquaculture. Le groupe français de santé animale, porte ainsi sa participation à 66% du capital avec la possibilité d’acquérir ultérieurement tout ou partie des actions restantes. Le prix de cette montée en puissance s’élève à 17,7 M$, montant payé intégralement en numéraire. Pour rappel, fin 2012 Virbac avait pris le contrôle de 51% du capital de Centrovet.
